Howard welcomed Danielle, Miss HowardTV for February, to the studio and quickly had a look at her many tattoos – and piercings, 19 in total. Gary told Howard he'd been really excited for Sunday's Jets/Colts game: "Yesterday was like Christmas morning for me. I couldn't sleep."

Gary gave Peyton Manning most of the credit for the Colts win, citing Peyton' ability to call plays from the line – and pretty much coach the team himself – leading Howard to wish he'd had bosses at NBC as hands-off as the Colts head coach: "Sometimes the guy who knows not to tinker is the best guy."

Eric The Midget Was A Clue On The New York Times Crossword Puzzle !?

Steve Langford reported that Eric the Midget was a clue in a recent New York Times crossword puzzle, so Eric called in: "That's the first I've heard of it...I'm sure that's a really big deal." Howard thought it proved that Eric should embrace his moniker, 'the Midget' and not run from it, but Eric refused: "No. I do not. I don't care what publication it gets into. I'm not embracing that nickname. Ever!"

Eric then said his 'American Idol' commentary show was back up and running: "All technical difficulties have been fixed." JD came in to say he didn't want to record and pull clips from the often-horrible and pause-ridden show, and Howard relented: "I don't want you coming in here at night. You had a nervous breakdown in my opinion." Howard then asked Medicated Pete to record Eric's Idol show – Pete agreed: "Of course."

Gary Vs Yucko The Clown

Yucko called in to insult the crew and started with Robin's 'Joy Behar' appearance: "She sounds more stupid on that show than she did on 'Jeopardy.'" Yucko then turned to Gary, who returned fire with a reference to Yucko's recent divorce. Yucko tried to shrug it off ("At least I got more than Techno Beaver and Solitaire going on in my life.") but Gary stayed on the attack: "You wanna *not* be known? You're doing a great f’ing job!"






Gary really opened fire on Yucko: "You haven't been funny on the show in ages and you probably won't be on any time soon because you suck on the show!" Yucko's attempts to return fire kept missing the mark and Gary parried well: "You were vicious and funny and then you just became sad." Yucko started to sound defeated ("Whatever. I'm not f’king sad. I know that f’ing much.") so Gary went for the knockout: "Your act is stale. You haven't created anything new and you're kind of depressing...you're not a funny clown. You're a depressing clown." Yucko replied that he would go write some zingers to respond to Gary and call in with them tomorrow.

GARY VS SCOTT DEPACE

On the Wrap Up Show, Scott DePace claimed he'd tried to have a discussion about the Jets/Chargers playoff game but Gary had dismissed his opinion outright. Gary laughed: "That's because your opinion was wrong." Scott said Gary never considered opinions that differ from his own, and Gary said the same thing about Scott, adding that Scott's opinion – that the Chargers blew the game – was a biased/"sour grapes" take on the outcome.



Gary speculated that Scott didn't respect him, but Scott clarified – he merely doesn't respect Gary's football opinions, just as he wouldn't respect his golf opinions: "I'm not arrogant. Just confident." As the argument heated up, it came out that Scott didn't even respect Jon Hein's take on TV. Jon replied diplomatically – saying he wasn't a 'TV authority,' but rather someone who conducts arguments in a way that some people respect and want to hear out.

Medicated Pete came in to tell the crew that he'd gone on a successful date over the weekend, claiming he even kissed the girl for "like 2 minutes" after dinner. Robin referenced Pete's infamously messy table habits: "You ate in front of her and she still kissed you?" Howard asked if the girl was now his girlfriend, but Pete shrugged: "I might be seeing this person again so I don't know."

Under further questioning, Pete revealed that his date was 6 feet tall – and he was totally in love with her: "I am." Howard wondered if he'd "jerked off thinking about getting inside her," and Pete nodded: "Possibly." Howard laughed: "That's a yes." Gary reported that Pete had told Scott the Engineer – and Ronnie the Limo Driver – a completely different story, so Howard asked if Pete was telling him the truth. Pete shrugged: "I think so. Howard stern talks about Artie Lang's suicide attempt , stapping himself

Troubled comic Artie Lange landed in the hospital after stabbing himself nine times in an apparent suicide attempt, sources told The Post. Lange's frantic mom called 911 Saturday morning after she entered his Hoboken apartment and found the bloodied funnyman, a law-enforcement source said. Lange sustained six "hesitation wounds" and three deep plunges. A source close to Lange's management team confirmed that the Howard Stern sidekick stabbed himself, adding that his mother had come to visit him that day to drop off food. Surgeons managed to save Lange despite heavy bleeding. "We all have our demons," Stern said on-air this week, referring to Lange's past battles with addiction. "Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He's a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Please give artie's family there space !

DOES JD AIM TOO HIGH?


Howard played a few clips from yesterday's Wrap-Up Show in which JD discussed his love life. In the first, he wondered if he 'aimed too high' romantically: "I've been told that before. I was told that in high school, actually, by a girl that I liked. She said, 'You go for girls that you can't get' – whether that means they're too high or you know...I'm attracted to who I'm attracted to. I'm sorry if, you know, that I'm not attracted to everyone...I like who I like. I'm sorry."

JD said this pattern continued with the last girl he dated: "She got a boyfriend...because I'm not necessarily looking for something totally serious because I don't – I don't – you know, because I can barely handle myself, let alone having to be a part of sort of a relationship and dealing with someone else...I'm just not in that mode." JD went on: "I just, eh, I don't know, I'm just not looking for something...if it comes along, sure, but I don't know."

JD'S WANDERING EYE


JD finally confessed: "It sounds stupid but I have a wandering eye I guess you could say...I'm not looking for something...I hate this show. I hate talking on these shows. I like a lot of girls so I don't know how so – forget it...it's not working out so well." Asked about times he'd lowered his standards, JD said they went no better: "Nothing works out." Howard saw where JD was coming from: "If I'm gonna be shot down, I'm gonna go for the best."

JD'S MOM LOVES HIM AND HE LOVES HER

JD told the crew he hoped to visit his Mom soon, as she feels like he has a closer relationship with his father: "She's had these thoughts and that's not how it is." JD was happy with her renewed efforts: "She said her New Year's resolution is to see me and my brother more." Howard didn't think it sounded that very difficult, so JD explained she just felt "more out of the loop" because he visited/talked to his father more and felt left out.

The caller asked Howard if he could clear up some stuff about Artie. He asked him about the rumors about why he was out. Howard said he was going to make a blanket statement about this. He said that he read that this is a family matter and the family wasn't going to talk about it. Howard said they released that statement about keeping it all private so he's going to honor that and respect it.

Howard said that he's just going to say that he was reflecting on Artie over vacation and he has given them a lot of great moments on the show. Howard said he had 10 that he could think of that were just great. Howard said there are a lot of people saying a lot of negative stuff about Artie on SternFanNetwork. he said we all have our demons and he respects the way the family is handling this whole thing. Howard said when he sees these people talking about him and his wife and Artie. Howard said it's just wrong and he doesn't like that.



Howard said Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. he said he's a great contributor and a great man. Howard said he's going to put together some of the great Artie moments from the show. Howard said people were saying they hope Artie dies and he doesn't understand that. Howard said Artie is so funny. Robin said he's loving and very giving too.



Howard said the family is saying that it's their business and they'll talk about it when they want to. The caller asked about the SIRIUS aspect of the whole thing. Howard said the Jim Breuer thing was false and he's not sure what Jim said but it wasn't true that he's joining the show. Howard said he's not sure where it came from.



The caller said there are some tag lines for Beth's book on Amazon and he doesn't get that either. He didn't even want to talk about that. Howard said his fans are just brutal and they're like wolves. Howard said he has to imagine that it's a small segment of the audience that does this stuff though. He said he hopes that's the case anyway.

Arite Lang in a Hospital ? Will Artie Lang show to the howard stern show on Monday ?

New Jersey hospital for an unknown issue, TMZ reports.

"I can confirm that Artie is in the hospital. Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor. There will be no further comment," a statement from his rep said.

The 42-year-old comedian, who has struggled with drug abuse in the past, hasn't appeared on Stern's radio show since December and has canceled several of his upcoming stand-up dates.We can confirm that Artie is in the hospital," Lange's reps said in a statement. "Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor. There will be no further comment."with a history of substance abuse issues and DUI arrests — was rushed to a hospital just outside New York City for undisclosed reasons early Saturday.
He recently pulled the plug on a New Year's Eve engagement, and per his official website, all of his stand-up dates through February have also been scrapped.
In 2009, Artie Lange made headlines for a DUI bust (for prescription sleeping pills) as well as a profane, homophobic appearance on HBO's Joe Buck Live.
While Lange's health situation and Stern fate remain unclear, perhaps Stern will shed light on it when he comes back from his holiday hiatus Monday.Howard 100 news to say anything further. We can only hope that if this is a serious medical emergency that Howard will be honest with the fans.




There are rumors going around that this is a very, very serious hospitalization.
The comedian, 42, has been absent from Stern's satellite radio show since early December and canceled several stand-up engagements during that time.
