Tiki Barber: He last played in the NFL during Howard's 1st year at Sirius in 2006, and NBC may have dumped his ass in 2010, and he was not on the NY Giants' 2 Super Bowl-winning teams. (Uniondale, N.Y.) – LIPA and National Grid have restored service to approximately 675,000 customers affected by Hurricane Sandy. From the over one million LIPA customers who lost power due to the super storm that affected eight million electric customers along the east coast, 370,000 customers remain without power. This number includes approximately 100,000 customers in the most severely flooded areas on the south shore, particularly in Long Beach and the Rockaways, where homes and businesses may currently be unable to receive power.
LIPA continues to work around the clock, seven days a week, to restore service as safely and quickly as the situation allows. Nearly 10,000 restoration workers, including 5,200 linemen from throughout the country, continue to work to restore homes and businesses with the expectation of restoring power to 700,000 customers back by the end of this evening. To further support this effort, an additional 1,700 restoration workers arrived last night, with 1,100 workers expected to arrive today. A portion of yesterday’s crews and those who are arriving today, have been airlifted in by the National Guard from as far away as California, Washington and Arizona.

Stern addressed Twitter followers freaked out by Hurricane Sandy aka "Frankenstorm" on Sunday, tweeting that the Stern Show crew planned to be live Monday morning, in spite of the severe weather predictions.
"Yes, the show must go on. We are planning on doing a radio show tomorrow," wrote Stern.Hurricane Sandy is projected to hit New York City in full force on Monday night. NY Transit had already suspended service as of Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. Luckily, Howard Stern can rely on Ronnie the Limo Driver to get him through the high speed winds, heavy rains and general chaos on the road.
As far as Tuesday is concerned, that could be a different story, depending on the level of damage Sandy does to New York City Monday night

Bronies, the niche adult male fans of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic", are mad at a t-shirt being sold at Walmart. The offending shirt says "I Heart Bronies" on it. However, the characters depicted on the shirt are from the 1980's My Little Pony cartoon, and not the newer show the Bronies are actual fans of. So yeah, the Bronies ain’t happy with Walmart. In our second story, New Zealand is putting Hobbits on their money. Just name Peter Jackson your Emperor already, New Zealand
