Eric the Actor, a beloved member of the Wack Pack on The Howard Stern Show, has apparently died. The news was confirmed by the Sirius XM Twitter account.
It is unclear exactly what happened to Eric S. Lynch, but reports are swirling that he was hospitalized late last week with heart problems.
Rumors of Eric the Actor’s death first went viral when one of his friends, Johnny Fratto, posted the news on his Twitter page. While Eric has been the subject of several death hoaxes before, Fratto insisted that this time Eric was really dead.
Eric the Actor first became known to Howard Stern Show fans when he called into the program back in 2002. Before his death, he became famous for his frequent, and often combative, calls-ins
But while Eric the Actor was known for making us laugh, he had a serious side as well. A few months before his death, he posted a lengthy blog on the Howard Stern website about acceptance.
“I am going get back to the whole thing of acceptance over hate,” the blog read in part. “I know that one way to make sure that there is way more acceptance in this world than there is hate is to simply lead by example. What I mean is to grow up, stop acting like an immature juvenile little hateful person. Kids will see it in you. It is true how they are like sponges, they do and say whatever they see the adults in their lives do or say. If they see adults treating each other like crap, clearly they are going to get the wrong message of how they should treat the other kids at their schools or in the neighborhood. Bullying and harassment, both on-line and in face to face, has got to come to an end now!!

oodell: "I Got It Wrong On A Number Of Levels, And I'm Sorry For That". Goodell: "I am establishing a conduct committee...to assure we are always living with the best practices."
Goodell: I got it wrong, I’m sorry and now I will get it right
(NBC Sport) NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell acknowledged his own missteps and admitted that he needs assistance in overseeing the league’s personal conduct policy in a Friday press conference designed to stem the wave of criticism the NFL has faced over high-profile domestic violence cases involving players.
“I got it wrong in the handling of the Ray Rice matter and I’m sorry for that. I got it wrong on a number of levels, from the process that I led to the decision that I reached. But now I will get it right and do whatever is necessary to accomplish that,” Goodell said.
Goodell said that everyone affiliated with the NFL — both at the team level and the league level — will go through training to help reduce domestic violence. And Goodell said he hopes the NFL will become a leader in fighting against domestic violence throughout American society.
“These incidents demonstrate that we can use the NFL to help make change, not only in our league but in our society with respect to domestic violence and sexual assault,” Goodell said.
Goodell also acknowledged that the league office itself dropped the ball in investigating the Rice case, and he said the NFL will cooperate fully with former FBI Director Robert Mueller’s investigation of the matter.
“We will get our house in order first,” Goodell said.
The NFL is now pledging to work with outside groups and to work with the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The league has pledged to provide the resources the Hotline needs — resources that have been strained in recent days as domestic violence has become a topic of conversation around the league. please subscribePlease RT & Share w/ fellow Howard Stern Fans . Howard Stern Show writer Benjy Bronk disrupts NFL Roger Goodell press conference
Howard Stern Show writer Benjy Bronk interrupted a highly-anticipated news conference Friday afternoon with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell with one of his now-familiar outbursts before he was led out of the room.
Entering from the same door Goodell came through, Bronk casually strolled up to the podium where the commissioner was speaking about a half hour into the event. Wearing a cap and holding another cap in his hand, Bronk was immediately swarmed by about eight security guards and league executives.
"What are you doing? What are you doing?" he screamed as he was dragged out. "Don't take me to an elevator!" he yelled, mocking the video showing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching his then-fiance in a hotel elevator.
infamous shirtless picture of himself in his boxers he posted to Twitter that sunk his political ambitions.
When Bronk gets up to his press conference antics, he doesn’t ask Stern for permission, the Shock Jock has said on air. He finds out about it along with everyone else, and says he wouldn’t approve the antics.

Goodell appeared to try to rectify concerns and outrage about recent sexual abuse cases that have rocked the NFL. He promised to change the way the league tackles domestic violence issues.
The itinerant interrupter made an outburst at the NFL press conference before he was dragged out of the room, screaming "Don't take me to an elevator!" Bronk has been a spectacle for years, and notoriously interrupted Anthony Weiner's press conference announcing his resignation from Congress amid a social media sex scandal.
